Law:
If a person drives a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place without due care and attention, or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road or place, he is guilty of an offence.
A person is considered to have driven without reasonable consideration only if someone is inconvenienced by their driving.
Examples of when driving may be inconsiderate:
- Needlessly remaining in an overtaking lane.
- Driving unnecessarily slow or braking without good reason.
- Failing to dip headlights which dazzle oncoming drivers.
- Driving through a puddle splashing pedestrians.
